Fourth and Fifth CYAG Activities Announced
CYAG continues to roll out its roster of FREE activities, with the addition of football from this Friday (21st) at Fisher More at 5.45 p.m. (older and younger teens, divided into 10-13 and 13-16 groups).
Sarah Cockburn- Price, chairman of trustees, said: “Our next new activity will be Boot Camp at Pendle Leisure Centre on Saturday lunchtimes (1-2 p.m.) from 5th June. Our experienced coach is Mick Gillam. Again, participants will have to be CYAG members. Our annual subscription is an absolute bargain at £3.”
The CYAG application form can be accessed online: www.cyag.org/join. The CYAG application form requires details of parents and their children for their own safety. All the data collected will be stored securely and confidentially.
The new Friday Football at Fisher More sessions and the Saturday Boot Camp classes are in addition to Biking on Mondays at Park High School at 5.30 p.m. (two places still available), turn up and play Football with Burnley FC in the Community at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays at King George V Playing Fields and Horticulture at 5 p.m. also on Wednesdays at the Community Garden off Castle Road (three places still available).
CYAG will soon feature in a twenty-minute film by local arts organisation, In-Situ and Colne’s young people, which is poised to premiere in Colne soon.
After feedback from young people, CYAG is hoping to launch martial arts, boxing, comic books and cosplay activities.
Lease negotiations continue with Lancashire County Council for the mothballed, former youth club on Byron Road.
